The public sector accounts for 15 percent of Sweden’s greenhouse gas emissions from consumption, according to a new report from SEI (Stockholm Environment Institute). The report also shows that food consumption and transportation within the public sector cause significant greenhouse gas emissions. Sweden’s municipalities therefore play a central role in helping Sweden achieve its climate goals.
